Sensual treat

I’d like to kick off autumn with a bit of sauce and “Rizzo” – the elegant lingerie from Black Lace is just what I need to cheer me up this time of year. If you have seen the movie “Grease” you will remember that Rizzo is the sassy leader of the Pink Ladies bad girl’s gang, and this is an outfit I’m sure she would have adored. 

As you can all see my tan is slowly fading, not that I had that much tan to begin with but well – Tuli’s skins in the paler shades are my fave skins anyway.

 This purple basque with lacy panels and garters has a slight retro feel to it, and reminds me of the days when women dared to be curvy and sensual, and the femme fatale made men’s jaws drop to the floor by the flash of a knee – ok don’t laugh because according to my nan that’s just what it was like in them days.

I love the details designer Mariska Simons has put to this outfit, from the lace around the top and bottom, to the elaborate garters which are adorned with tiny velvet bows and beads and Black Lace’s initials. The fully fashioned nylons have an elegant sheen to them and a back seam for that va-va-voom look of Betty Page.

I am wearing it with my fave piece of jewellery of the moment – a string of purple pearls and a bouffant hairdo with a sexy side parting. A nice reminder is that “Rizzo” is a design when you buy it all goes to Relay for Life – so you can be flirtatious, sexy and a good girl all at once.
