*SMUDGE* Announces Its Grand Opening 

New art gallery premiers its fun, quirky collection within Second Life.

Second Life, July 1, 2010 —- *SMUDGE*, a quirky in world art gallery, announced its plans for their grand opening celebration at FIERCE Nightclub in Dominion Estates.  The event will be on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 1PM SLT. The event will be comprised of a viewing of *SMUDGE*’s recent collection, music from DJ Atreyu Witrial, and tons of prizes/give-a-ways. All are welcome to attend the event and may contact Myndi Meredith or Anden Tolsen for an official invitation. 

 For Myndi Meredith, painting has always been a hobby. “There is something so relaxing about sitting with a blank canvas in front of you, grabbing that first color and making the first Smudge on the canvas; and seeing where it takes you. Sometimes it takes you on an almost immediate trip to the trashcan…and other times, it leaves you with a heart filled with accomplishment.” There is a pride in the simplicity. Myndi’s carefree nature leaps from her heart through her hand and onto the canvas in RL. She has not been able to paint in RL for over a year now..with the birth of her son… its just not practical to have an easel set up in the living room anymore, and she hasn’t got nowhere else to put one. Myndi was itching to paint. Myndi wanted the release so bad she could feel it tingling in her hand. Myndi went out and bought a wacom tablet, and corel painter….and *SMUDGE* was born!

 It is Myndi’s hope that her paintings can bring joy to others lives. She hopes people will purchase her paintings so they can have them in their homes and when they see them they put a smile on their face. “Life can be so tough sometimes…I hope my paintings can be a way for people to see the beauty in the simple things in life… all of our lives.”
